Assalamu alaikum!
I dedicate this space to women who were raised to believe that motherhood and homemaking were somehow inferior to any other career, only to later realize that we had been misled.
This is a space for women who have come to see the beauty and importance of taking an active role in creating a sanctuary within their homes, while also honoring who they are, their needs, and their desires in the process.
The vital role of nurturing and safeguarding the family—the very foundation of society—has been neglected, underestimated, and even ridiculed. And the world is now paying the price.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Verily, Satan places his throne over the water and he sends out his troops. The closest to him in rank are those who cause the greatest tribulations. One of them says, ‘I have done this and that.’ But Satan replies, ‘You have done nothing.’ Then another comes and says, ‘I did not leave this man until I separated him from his wife.’ Satan embraces him and says, ‘You have done well.’” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2813)

Even though I am a single mother, I remain committed to these values. Being a divorcee has not diminished my belief in the importance of nurturing the home and family, and I continue to work on this purposefully.
